How is it even possible that Trey is already 11 months old?! It just doesn't seem possible at all! He is getting so big, and he is getting smarter every day! And cuter too! I don't know how that is possible, but I am a little bit partial! haha! Trey is having a blast with his first Christmas! We have 5 Christmas celebrations for him to attend, and the 3 we've done so far, he has had a big time!!! Next, we will go to Owensboro this weekend to celebrate Christmas with my family! We are looking forward to that!
Trey doesn't go back to the doctor for a check up until he's a year old, so I don't know how much he weighs or how tall he is, but after his next appointment, I will let everyone know!
At 11 months, Trey:
**is a seriously fast crawler--it worries me a little to think how fast he will walk when he starts going
**stands up all the time, and will stand up on his own unassisted for a few brief seconds from time to time
**says bye bye most of the time when someone is leaving, but it takes coaxing other times
**is trying to be trained to go to sleep on his own (without me having to rock him completely to sleep when I put him in bed before laying him down) and he is not a fan!
**has gotten 3 new teeth--he now has his 2 front top teeth and another bottom tooth. In fact, I think he's going to cut another bottom tooth any day now
**likes to feed himself his finger food snacks (Gerber puffs, Gerber yogurt bites)
**is starting to try some table food now that he is getting more teeth (he loves smashed up mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and his new favorite, chicken broth)
**has excellent control of his hands, and uses them all the time to explore everything
**smacks his lips when he's letting me know that he's thirsty
**claps his hands

10 months and growing
I'm still not sure how it is possible that Trey is 10 months old!! I guess I'll have to start planning his 1st birthday party before I know it!! Trey is learning new things and is growing more and more each day!
At 10 months, Trey:
**pulls up on everything that will hold still
**drinks out of his sippy cup on his own
**uses his hands to feed himself his puff snacks
**finally cut one of his top teeth!!! This brings the grand total of teeth to 3! What can I say, he's a late bloomer in the tooth dept
**is the fastest crawler of all time
**will give you a kiss if you ask him to
**babbles all the time: mamama, dadada, nanana, bababa, lalala, gagaga
**smiles all the time
**he is starting to say bye bye when we leave or if someone else leaves, but it comes out more as "ba ba"
**laughs all the time
**loves to make the chewing motion with his mouth even if he's not eating
**we are working on getting him to wave. He does do it from time to time, but it could be much better! haha
**I think Trey has grown some more, but I don't have the actual measurement for it
I have to take Trey to get his 2nd round of his flu shot, so that is the only thing we need to go to the dr for right now. Trey goes back for his next check up at 12 months, so I'm hoping he stays healthy until then!!! :)
I'll post his 9 month pictures finally too! haha!

9 months...wow!
I don't know how its possible that Trey is already 9 months old! I mean, in 3 months, he will be 1!! Where has the time gone?! He gets sweeter and sweeter everyday! I love to watch him grow and watch his personality develop as every day passes too! My little man is growing up before my very eyes!!
At 9 months he:
**weighs 16 lbs 4 oz (he's perfectly healthy, he's just going to be small like his daddy was at this age!)
**is 27 3/4" long
**pulls up to stand on anything he can reach
**has started using his pincher grasp
**says the following sounds regularly: ma, da, ga, ba
**is a bouncing machine
**crawls around on all 4's now
**loves to swing at the park
**is going through his sleep training so that he sleeps all night (he used to sleep all night, but then quit, so we are trying again)
**won't take a paci or a bottle (glad about the paci, but the bottle/cup thing, he needs to master...he holds it, but won't drink)
**is going to start trying some adult foods from time to time
**takes 2 naps per day typically (one in the AM near lunch time, and one in the middle of the afternoon)
**still only has his bottom 2 teeth...the Dr said that he thinks it will be Christmas before his top 2 teeth come in
I had an appointment to have his 9 month pictures made on the 20th (also Brian's 30th birthday!!!), but the day before, he was pulling up on the coffee table, and he slipped and hit his mouth on the way down. It scratched some of his skin off his lip, and it swelled up some, so we had to reschedule. I'm hoping to do them sometime next week! So until then, here is a more recent picture of him. When I get his 9 month pictures back, I will post it on here!! :)

8 months
At 8 months Trey:
**crawls all over the upstairs of the house
**tries to grab everything he can get his little hands on
**"talks" all the time making different sounds. (I'm still working on the M sound and the D sound, but he has really mastered the B sound
**screams out if you aren't letting him do what he wants (grabbing on my hair, taking something away that he isn't supposed to have, etc)
**loves jumping in his Johnny jump up
**will high five Brian when he asks him to
**occasionally waves hi or bye
We don't go back to the doctor until his 9 month appointment, so I will have some height and weight updates then! He's changing more and more each day, and he gets more personality with every day too!! We love him so much!! I will put up a new picture of him soon!!!

Trey is everywhere!!
Trey can't crawl in my opinion, but he is mobile and gets around everywhere upstairs. To me, crawling is up on all fours, and he doesn't do that, but he has mastered the military low crawl. PIcture the military exercise where the men/women are crawling while laying flat on the ground....That is Trey! He has done that a while, but stayed in the living room. Last night, though, he decided it was time to venture out and see what else was upstairs! He went straight to the gate at the top of the stairs (thank you Todd for installing that for us!), and then he found the floor vent! He was obsessed! He would just lean over it and let the cold air blow in his face, and it was blowing his hair. It was pretty funny! Then he decided he wanted to explore the kitchen, so he ventured in there getting distracted by our trashcan since he could see his reflection in it! He started talking to himself! But then he went further into the kitchen, and looked so tiny in there with all the big appliances and the kitchen table! What a little stinker! When I get the video and pictures on the computer, I will post them for everyone to see!!

7 months old!
My little man is 7 months old today! Where has the time gone?! It seems like just yesterday that Trey was born and was so tiny!! But I must say, I do love how big he is and how much fun he is to play with! And I'm sure it will only get much more fun as time passes!
At 7 months, Trey:
*sits up all on his own (has done that for a few weeks now)
*moves objects/toys from hand to hand
*leans over to pick up toys from either in front of him or to one of his sides, and then sits back up on his own
*makes the "ba ba ba" sound all the time
*loves to play in his jumper--he jumps so hard sometimes you would think he would jump right out of it
*is gobbling up the stage 2 baby foods...he loves them all so far!!
*gets up on all fours and rocks--he will also pull himself forward on all fours by using his arm strength (no crawling yet)
*will scoot over to the toy basket and get out whatever toy he is wanting to play with
*rides in grocery carts and can sit in high chairs at restaurants now
*stops whatever he is doing when he hears his daddy talking or unlocking the front door
He is so much fun and does so many things that it is hard to write down everything he can do! haha! I always have the video camera ready to catch his first crawling "steps", so when that happens, I will post it for sure!! I'll put up a new picture of him soon too!!

Sitting Up
Trey has mastered sitting up on his own, but from time to time, he will still tip over! He will pick up toys off the floor in front of him to play with them while he's sitting up and moves them from hand to hand if he wants to! He will also look from side to side when he's sitting up, but when he tries to turn his head to look behind him, he usually tips over...he'll get the hang of that as he gets older though! Here are some pictures of him sitting up!

6 months already?!
I can't believe that my little man is 6 months old today!! Where has the time gone?! I always knew time flew, but I didn't realize how much until Trey was born and this half a year has already passed!!! I took him to the doctor this morning for his 6 month check up, and he is perfectly healthy the doctor said! He grew a 1/4" (sad! I wanted him to grow more) and gained 2 lbs since his 4 month appointment! He is still small, but the doctor said that he isn't underweight or anything like that, he is just a small little guy! Of course, I never expected him to be huge since when Brian was his age, he didn't even register on the charts!
At 6 months Trey:
*is 26 1/4" long and weighs 14.6 lbs
*sits up supported, and will sit on his own for a few seconds all by himself
*has his 2 front bottom teeth
*loves baby food, and can now start having the meats
*is enthralled with his daddy--he looks for him everytime he hears him talk, even if he was asleep or eating
*scoots across the floor with his face in the ground (he doesn't want to stop chewing on his hands..haha)
*plays with his toys
*"talks" to us all the time
*screams all the time now that he knows he can get loud
*sleeps all night most of the time
*usually takes 2 naps per day at about an hour and a half each

I love this jumper!!!
Todd and Tina got Trey this jumper when he was 4 months old, but up until now, he didn't love the time he spent in it. He would sit in it for a while and play with the toys, and then would fuss to get out. Now that he is a little older and his back is getting stronger (he can sit supported), he likes to jump in it! Even though he leans all the way forward, he has a great time in it. Today was the longest that he wanted to jump. He went on and on for about 30 minutes before he got tired and was ready for a nap! I think his little squeals sound like monkey sounds, and his laugh is so cute!! Like my sister said, he's a little monkey in this!! Too cute!!
Trey's motor/blowing bubbles skills
This is Trey's new thing! He soaks everything around him with drool, but its so cute! He will do this all day long!! He also loves to throw his scream in there to for a little variation...never a dull moment!

A Few Firsts!!
Trey had a few firsts this past weekend!! His first 4th of July, his first road trip, his first trip to the zoo, his first professional baseball game, and his first tooth!!!!! Brian and I took Trey with us to St Louis for the holiday weekend to visit our friends Paul and Nikki! They have been trying to get us to come visit for so long, and when Brian's baseball team was out of the tournament they were playing it, we thought it would be the best time to go! While we were there, we took Trey to the St Louis zoo for his first trip to a zoo. He slept in his stroller for a lot of it, but when he was awake, he did pay attention to some of the animals. It was just so hot! On the 4th of July, we were taking Trey to his first professional baseball game! I wish it had been to a Reds game since he is a Reds fan, but oh well. Paul and Nikki had 2 extra tickets to the St Louis/Milwaukee game, so we took Trey. Of course he wore his Reds tshirt and Reds bib! haha. While we were driving to the stadium, Brian was in the backseat with him, and felt Trey's first tooth!! I had checked for it that morning when I was feeding him breakfast, but it wasn't there. But there it was, just barely broken through his gums, in all of its glory!! I can't wait for it to come through a little more so that everyone can see it when he smiles!!! When that happens, I will definitely post a picture!! :) But in the meantime, here are some pictures from the zoo and from the game!! :)

5 months
I can't believe how fast time is passing as Trey grows up!! It's just insane!! He turned 5 months last Sunday (on Fathers Day)! He gets cuter and cuter everyday, and I am so excited to see how big he's getting! At 5 months he:
*is 26" long and weighs 12.7 lbs
*sleeps all night unless he's having a growth spurt and then it's every 3-4 hours
*loves to chew on his toes
*eats baby food very well-he loves the vegetables and is starting on the fruits now
*somehow turns himself all the way around while he sleeps in his bed. He will end up with his head down where his feet were when I put him to bed
*"talks" to us all the time
*will pull his knees up underneath him when he's laying on his belly
*reaches and grabs for toys to play with
*smiles and laughs all the time
*sits up supported
*usually takes 2 naps per day (around 10-11AM and then again usually somewhere between 2-4PM)
A 5 month picture will come shortly!!

4 months!!
Trey is now 4 months old, and I can't believe it!! We took him today for his 4 month check up, and everything is good, other than the fact, that we had to take him to the ER on Tuesday night for an ear infection. He's getting better now, and the doctor said that it is looking better! At 4 months:
Trey weighs 12 lb 7 oz (10th percentile..hahaha!! The doctor said he wasn't too skinny though and that he was fine!)
Trey is 26" long (85th percentile...whoo hoo!! He grew 4" in the last 2 months!! I'm so excited!)
The doctor commented on how alert he is since he was sitting in my lap looking at the doctor when he was talking just listening!
He can now start eating food, so we will start that tonight! Should be entertaining I'm sure!
He got the 2nd round of his shots, and he didn't even cry at all on the first one! The 2nd shot, he whimpered, and the 3rd shot just really made him mad! But as soon as I picked him up, he quit crying!
We go back in 2 months for another check up as long as he doesn't need to be seen before then!! Here's hoping!

My big man!
Trey is growing more and more every day, and now he is really working on new tricks! haha! Trey is almost completely rolling over from his back to his belly!! He gets everything over, but he still has a little trouble with figuring out how to get over his elbow/shoulder that is on the ground. He tries so hard, so I know that it is only going to be a matter of time before he does it! He also loves being on his belly during tummy time, and he holds his chest up off the ground and kicks his legs like crazy while he is laying there. It looks like he is thinking about trying to crawl, but obviously can't since he isn't up on his knees or anything like that! But he is so expressive with his face, that it is easy to see how he is thinking about how to figure it out! He lifts his eyebrows, and moves them around when he's thinking. It's really funny!
I got his 3 month pictures back, and they are really cute! I'll post a couple of them on here later today! I had to scan them onto the computer, so that's why they will look a little strange! Just an FYI!!!
I can't wait to keep having these updates on Trey's new tricks as he continues to grow!!!

3 months!!
I can't believe that Trey is 3 months old today!! My how the time has flown by!!! He is such a big boy now!!! I feel that any day now, Trey first tooth will make its grand entrance. He drools to the point where he chokes on his own saliva, he soaks whatever clothes he has on, and has drool bubbles all the time!! I can't wait for when I look in his mouth and see that little tooth sticking through!! Trey has also gotten so much better about really holding that head up high when he's doing tummy time. He's lifting it way up, and is getting his shoulders off the ground too! I also think he is growing a lot too!! Normally I don't see the growth since I see him every day, but sometimes when I look at him, I can see that he is getting taller! I tried to measure him the other day on this mat he has that has measurements down the side, and he was between 24-25". At his 2 month check up he was 22", so I think its great that he has grown 2-3 more inches!! I love it!! I want him to be tall! haha. He goes back to the doctor for his 4 month check up, so we will find out then how much he has really grown! He seems to be genuinely healthy, and I couldn't be more thankful for that! He only cries when he's tired or when he's hungry! I'm very thankful that he doesn't cry all the time! His sleeping is getting better. He generally sleeps through the night, and I am very happy about that! Generally, he doesn't go to bed until at least 10 PM, but the other night he went to sleep at 9! That was exciting! Brian and I had a couple of hours of us time before going to bed! But then last night, he was up until midnight before going to bed! I will start trying to get the sleep training going when he's 4 months old, so then we'll see what happens! Brian and I are going to take him for his 3 month pictures this Saturday, and we can't wait to see how those turn out! Hopefully we won't be disappointed! My mom is coming into town this weekend, and she hasn't seen him since the end of March, so she will really see how much he's grown since then! I'll take a picture of him later today when he wakes up from his nap, so that everyone can see him at 3 months now and compare him to his 2 month picture!

Trey's trip to Mimi and Grumpa's!
Trey went to Owensboro for the first time this past weekend and he had a great time! He was very well behaved and didn't fuss too much! Just at the normal times when he was hungry or tired!!! :) Mimi and Grumpa missed him very much, so they were very glad to see him! Trey also got to meet Grandmother and Granddad for the first time too, so that was really nice! They thought he was so cute! Here are some pictures of our trip!!

Getting ready for Trey's first road trip!!
We are getting Trey ready to go on his first road trip this weekend!! We are going to Owensboro with our little man, so that he can see my parents (Mimi and Grumpa) and to meet my grandparents! I haven't been home since Thanksgiving because at the end of my pregnancy, I wasn't comfortable traveling very far in case I had gone into labor, and since Trey has been born, we have just stayed in Lexington! I'm excited to go home, but at the same time, I'm a little anxious about how Trey is going to do. He gives me fits as it is at home most nights, so I'm a little concerned that he will be a nightmare while we are down there! Obviously my parents had 4 kids, so I don't think they will mind, but I do get a little embarassed when he acts up! I want him to be a good boy and not scream and pitch fits. So hopefully, he will behave himself while we are there!! I know that my parents are excited to see him again since they haven't seen him since he was about 4-5 weeks old, and my grandparents have never met him--they have just seen the pictures that my mom has shown them! We are going to take Brian to work on Friday morning, and then pick him up from work so that we can just hit the road when he gets off work!! Here's hoping everything goes smoothly!!
Trey is also excited about how well UK has played this year! He has never even worried about an outcome of a game, so he sleeps through most of them! He is looking forward to watching UK go for the national title starting this week!! Here are a couple pictures of him during the last couple of games!

Trey has some strong little legs!!
We put Trey on his tummy for a little bit every day, and he really doesn't seem to mind it! A lot of the time when he is being held, he pushes his legs against us, so Brian will put his hand against his feet when Trey is on his tummy, and Trey pushes his legs agaisnt it and scoots. It's crazy because he's so little!!

4 weeks old!!
Where has the time gone? I can't believe that Trey is already 4 weeks old!! I see Trey every day obviously, so I don't notice how much he has grown as much as other people do, but I am starting to see that he is getting bigger! I can feel that he is gaining weight, because when he is making me hold him my lower back starts to hurt really bad, but I'm slowly starting to see that he is growing lengthwise too. There were a couple of sleepers that he has that we used to have to roll the sleeves up on because they were too long on him, and they haven't had to be rolled up in a long time. There are a few sleepers too that he has that the legs used to be way too long on, but they aren't as long anymore which is good to see too!! I'm glad that he is a growing boy! I hope he grows up to be big and strong! Trey still hasn't gotten on a schedule for feedings at night, but it usually ranges anywhere from 2-3 hours, although last night he was squalling and wanting to eat after 1 hour, so I had to go ahead and feed him again then. I think he's in the middle of another growth spurt, so that's why I feel like he can't make up his mind when he's wanting to eat! I am wanting to get him out of the house some, but with all the snow we have had, and seem to keep getting every couple of days, we haven't been able to do that. I can't wait for it to clear up so that we can take him out to see the world!! Here are a couple of pictures I took of him to show how he's growing!

3 weeks!!
Trey is 3 weeks old today!! I think he is in the midst of a growth spurt, because he is wanting to each closer together than in the past, and he has been a little bit fussier than usual! I read that babies usually go through a growth spurt between 2 and 3 weeks, so that would be right on schedule! We have been trying something new with his sleeping patterns where I have been letting him wake me up when he's ready to eat! Some nights we have had more success with it than others, but I feel like its working well! The bad nights are really bad (only getting about 3 hours of sleep the whole night) and the good nights are better (him waking up every 2-3 hours to eat). There for a little bit, he was waking up about every 3.5 hours, but since then it's about every 2 hours at least that he's wanting to eat!
He is starting to stay awake more during the day, but I feel that a lot of the time, that happens to be in the middle of the night! hahaha! When he is awake, he is alert and we play together on the floor! We have been putting him on his tummy for about 10 or so minutes each day, and he really seems to not mind it at all. He will just lay there, and he tries to push up on his legs (he really starts moving them trying to get them underneath him) and he will hold his head up and turn it from side to side when he's laying down there too! He is getting better about holding his head up, but obviously, we have a ways to go before he can hold it up all the time on his own! But I feel like he is going to do some things ahead of the curve because he just seems to do things before a lot of babies his age. He has been rolling over onto his sides since he was born, and he uses his arms/hands all the time. He loves to hold his own paci in his mouth, and he will swat at your hands when he is fussing and you are trying to give him a paci to calm him down. I will post a video of him on his tummy here in the next day or so for everyone to see how he's doing!
Brian and I love having him here with us, and we can't wait to see him as he continues to grow! I think he is a carbon copy of Brian right now, so it will be interesting to see if he continues to look like Brian or if he will change as he gets older! I'm sure he will change somewhat, but I do think that he will look like Brian when he's older too! I guess I was just able to give him really long fingers and big feet/long toes! haha!

Playtime with Trey on the floor
A little video of playtime on the floor with Trey yesterday afternoon! He was so alert!
2 weeks!!!
Trey is 2 weeks old, and he is a lot of fun!! Even though he sleeps a lot, when he is awake, he is a happy baby!! Yesterday we played on the living room floor for almost 2 hours, and that was nice! He enjoys laying on the floor where he has free reign to roll over on his sides. He kicks his legs and flails his arms around just having a big ole time! We have put him on his tummy for tummy time, and he doesn't mind that either! I think that will be a good thing, but we are going to have to keep putting him on his tummy so that he stays used to it every so often, so that he won't get upset as he gets bigger!
Tonight I am going to start trying something a little different at bed time! I have been waking Trey up to feed him every 3 or so hours, but starting tonight, I am going to just let him wake me up. While it may still be the same kind of time frame, I want him to be able to sleep longer if he wants to. I had been waking him up myself because when he has woken up hungry, he gets so mad about being hungry, that it takes forever to get him to eat, so I was trying to prevent that! We will see what happens with this self-waking for the next several days, and hopefully he will like it!! :) And hopefully he will let Mom sleep a little longer!! haha! Selfish motives, I know!!
Trey had a great 2 week check up, and he doesn't have to go back until his 2 month appointment! He was up over his birth weight which was really exciting!! He hadn't grown any since he was born, which made me a little sad, but I know that he will grow eventually! I was just really excited that he had gained enough weight and had passed his birth weight!!
More to come soon along with more pictures and maybe a couple of videos!!

Happy 1 Week Trey!!!
Trey is officially one week old today!!! I can't believe that a week has already passed....my how the time has flown! I feel like it was just yesterday that my little tooter was born at 4 AM. Ironically, I was up with him at 4 this AM, so it was perfect! My mom has been here this week, and it has been so nice to have her helping hands with Trey. I haven't gotten much sleep at all since he's been here, and it was so nice to be able to lay down and take a nap while Mom was here watching him. Now I am going to have to learn how to nap when he's napping. Right now, the thought of that sounds scary because I am afraid that I wouldn't hear him! So I think I will just rest while he's sleeping and then maybe take a nap when Brian gets home from work. I do have a lot of people here in town (family and friends alike) who I can call on if I need something, but I am an independent person who really likes to try and do things on my own first. We'll see how that goes though, because little babies can be a bit overwhelming as I'm finding out--especially when he doesn't like to sleep very well at nighttime, causing Mommy to be up all hours of the night. It was really nice having my mom here rocking Trey to sleep at all hours of the night when I couldn't hold my eyes open anymore, and now I will have to force those eyelids open! I'm sure all first time moms feel a little bit of panic when they are first left alone with their little ones, so I'm just getting used to that right now. I know that I will be fine, and that I will take care of Trey to the best of my ability, but its just a scary thought at the present moment! Gotta love those out of whack hormones that come with pregnancy and childbirth!! haha.
I am getting ready to put up some pictures on here so that everyone can see his beautiful handsome face!! Even though he's a week old, I feel like he's already getting so much personality!!

Trey is here!!
Trey finally made his grand entrance at 3:57 AM on Wednesday, January 20th!!! He weighed in at 6 lb 14 oz, and was 19 3/4 inches long!! I was in labor for 18 hours, but I wouldn't take it back!!! I will put up lots of pictures when I can get everything settled down at home! I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew he was here!! :)

Today is the day!!
I am up and getting ready to go to the hospital. I am pleasantly surprised that I slept well last night, but I think it's because I was so tired. After being up since 5 yesterday AM, and not going to bed until after midnight, my body was worn out, and I am thankful for that! I think my plan of staying up late to help me sleep longer worked well!! I am still feeling nervous about what today brings because of the unfamiliar territory, but I know that I will be fine. Brian and I are both super excited to meet our little guy, and I know that it will all be worth it in the end! Here's hoping for a safe and smooth delivery and a perfectly healthy little boy!!!

just one more day
So tomorrow is the big day. I feel like today is going to be the longest day ever. I can't sleep because my mind is going a million miles a minute with all kinds of thoughts. I'm nervous of course because it is unfamiliar territory, and I feel that my nerves are even worse since I know when we'll be going to the hospital, etc. In theory I know what to expect with the whole process, but I feel like until I am actually going through it, I don't really know what it will be like, and that scares me. I'm sure that Brian is getting a little nervous too. I feel like his nerves are a lot like mine, and are aimed more at after Trey is born when we come home. Will we know how to take care of him? Will we know what to do, etc. I know that we will be fine, but its just something I'm sure that most parents think about before their first child is born.
We are taking the computer with us to the hospital tomorrow, and I know that my parents are bringing theirs as well, so there will be plenty of updates. There will be lots of cameras there as well, so look for pictures to be posted after he's born!! Brian and I wish that all of our out of town family and friends could be here for Trey's arrival (especially all my siblings) but we understand that it can't happen that way!! So we will be looking forward to when our family and friends from out of town can come see him!! He'll be here before you know it, although this has been the longest couple of days of my life...I sleep less every night. Oh the joys of being a worrier! haha.

my last weekly checkup/unwanted stress right before Trey is born
So yesterday was my last weekly checkup before Trey arrives next week! The appointment went well. I measured right on track again, my blood pressure was good which was really surprising with the week that I have been having, and his heart beat was nice and strong--a little over 150 bpm! When she checked me, she said that I was 1 cm this time, so I did progress a 1/2 cm over the week. She was saying that I was about 50% effaced too, but that she doesn't think I will go on my own, so she thinks its a good thing that we went ahead and set up the induction. My OB doesn't let any of her patients go past 40 weeks because there is proof that even going a little bit over can cause distress to the baby, so I guess with the little progress that I have made, she feels that I wouldn't have gone on my own by the time I was 40 weeks (next Saturday). So we have our induction all set up, and ready to go. Brian and I have to be at the hospital on Tuesday (1/19) at 8 AM to get registered and settled in, and then they will start the induction process around 9ish. Then we will be waiting on our little guy to decide to come out!! We are really excited that he will be here in 4-5 days!! We thought the induction was going to be on Tuesday night, but were wrong. So if he comes on the 19th, then that's fine, but if he comes on the 20th, then that's even better!! hahaha.
Also, I know a lot of you are friends on facebook with me, and I wanted to make sure everyone knew what all was going on. There have been rumors circulating around the mall here like wild fire that my store was closing. We even had a store coming in telling my other managers that they were taking our space. After lots of stress, phone calls from other stores asking about it, phone calls and comments from customers coming in the store and asking, I found out yesterday from my DM that our corporate office made the decision to close my store. Terrible timing for me! Granted, I would have been just as upset if it happened well before now or after the baby was born, but being 5 days before Trey is born, was even worse. I still get to keep my full maternity leave and they are going to let me keep my health insurance the entire time of my leave as well, but essentially, I lost my job yesterday. I have never had to deal with that before, and it was really hard, and it certainly wasn't any easier being almost 10 months pregnant and hormonal. I know that everything will turn out fine, its just stress that I didn't want to have right now. I was planning on being off work for 3 months, and then going right back to work at GUESS, and now I will be off work for 3 months, and then be looking for a new job. There is a lot to think about with all of it, but right now, I'm just trying to not be stressed about anything and getting as much rest as I can before Trey gets here next week! Thanks for all the support I have already received from everyone! I have the best family and friends that anyone could ask for!

37 week appointment
So I had my weekly check up today and everything still looks great! I did find out today that my doctor is going to be out of town all next week and won't be back until the 19th, so I am really hoping and praying that Trey will stay put until she gets back!! I don't like the idea of having someone I have never met deliver our little guy, and I certainly don't like the idea of it were something to happen and I needed to have a c-section. So lets all just hope that he stays where he is!! They did talk to me about induction if Brian and I were interested in doing that. I have always known that Dr. Karon won't let you go past 40 weeks, so induction has always been a possibility. She said that I could be induced on the night of the 19th if I was interested, but if I wanted to see if I went on my own that I could. However, if I didn't have him by my due date, then I would have been induced on Monday the 25th. So I talked it over with Brian, and we have decided that we will go ahead and do the induction on the 19th as long as he doesn't come before then. It works out well schedule wise for us because I will have just started my maternity leave that week, and Brian will already be off work on Monday for MLK day since he works at the bank. Then if they induce me on Tuesday, he can just take the rest of the week off and not worry about having to use vacation days for part of one week and then on part of another week with his work load. Another cool thing is that Brian and I are hoping for him to be born on the 20th. Brian's dad (Todd Brian) was born on the 20th. Brian (Todd Brian II) was born on the 20th, so we think it would be neat for Trey (Todd Brian III) to be born on the 20th as well. And if it goes into the 21st, that won't bother us either because that is both my mom's and Brian's mom's birthday.
So make sure everyone is hoping that Trey will stay put until she gets back in town!

only a little bit longer!!
So we are about 2.5 weeks away from the big day!!! I have my next weekly appointment tomorrow, and I am anxious to see if there has been anymore progress or not! My appointment is first thing in the morning, and then Brian and I are meeting with a pediatrician! He is the dad of one of the kids that Brian coached on his baseball team, so it is nice knowing that it is someone we already know!!
I'm still working 40 hour weeks at work, and I am wearing down!!! I plan on working through next Friday, and then being off! My actual leave starts on MLK day, unless I were to have Trey before then. So that would give me a week off work prior to my due date to rest up and get everything finished up around the house! I am pretty exhausted all of the time, so I am ready for him to come, but at the same time, I want to have that week off work before he comes too! haha. Whatever happens will happen of course, I just want to make sure that he is perfectly healthy and ready to come out!!! Brian and I are both really anxious for him to get here so that we can see him and play with him!! Only time will tell I guess!! I plan on posting a photo of my belly tomorrow or this weekend sometime, so that there is a later picture of my belly than the one from 29 weeks!!!
